Reflective rim decals work differently than static stickers. As your wheels rotate, the reflective strips create a continuous circular motion pattern in headlights. Moving objects are detected faster than stationary ones, which is why wheel-mounted reflectivity increases the distance at which drivers spot a cyclist.
Each set includes 16 pieces in two sizes to cover both wheels of one bike. Compatible with 26-inch and 29-inch mountain bike wheels and 700c road bike wheels.
Application is peel-and-stick with pre-applied adhesive. Clean the rim surface, apply the decal, press firmly, and you are done. The material is waterproof and UV-resistant and maintains reflectivity through outdoor use year-round.
If you ride a bike with rim brakes, apply the decals below the braking surface with at least a quarter inch of clearance. This keeps the braking track clean and unaffected.
These decals work well alongside frame and helmet stickers for layered visibility. The wheel reflectivity covers the lower half of the bike silhouette while upper-body and helmet reflective gear covers the rest.
